Group name: The Alliance
Triumvirate: Arlene Breckenridge, Anne Shainline, Jan Sigmund
 
Mission: To bring its members into closer acquaintance and fellowship; to encourage an interchange of ideas—social, economic, and religious; to give service and support to the Society; to promote and extend the influence of the Society and of liberal religion; to encourage and inspire personal growth.

Accomplishments: 1. Held seven luncheon programs on interesting topics. 2. Kept in contact with members having illnesses or bereavements. 3. Catered a number of special events. 4. Conducted successful sales of Holiday Temptations and Holiday Gifts. 5. Maintained the garden near the Mt. Curve entrance. 6. Provided desserts for the September 26 intergenerational dance. 7. Contributed $2,400 for an FUS ice making machine. 8. Baked and sold cinnamon rolls on Sundays, November 22 and March 28. 9.  Provided $10,000. toward FUS water run-off solution.
 
Goals for 2009-10: 1. To carry on a lively program year. 2. To consider appropriate contributions to the Society. 3. To continue to co-sponsor inter-generational events at the Society. 4. To continue to cater special events at the Society.
 
Meeting Schedule: Board meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month at 9:30 a.m. in September, November, February, April, June. Program/Luncheons are held the first Wednesday of the month at 11 a.m. in October, November, February, March, April, May, June. The annual meeting including annual reports and an election of officers is held at the May meeting.
 
Income and Expenses:  From 7-1-09 through 3-31-10 the total income is $7,727.74; total expenses are $5,147.08.  
 
Donations to the Society in 2009-10: FUS ice maker, garden planting and maintenance, $10,000 toward FUS water run-off solution.
 
Requested Budget: The Alliance does not request funds from FUS. When feasible, it makes donations to the Society.
