Childrens Programs
Childcare for Babies and Pre-School
There is supervised childcare for babies and pre-schoolers beginning at 9:30 am and ending at 11:45 am each Sunday. We have paid staff in each of the two rooms so that the little ones see a consistent care giver face each week. The staff is then assisted by rotating parent helpers. The nursery is in the Channing Room (2 floors below the main hall). Seats in the pews near the sound booth are reserved for parents who want to view the nursery during the service via our closed-circuit camera system.
Game Room: There is a game room which is supervised from 9:30 am to 10:15 am each Sunday and then is open after church. It is a wonderful place to gather and play Ping-Pong, Air Hockey, or draw and play games. The game room is located on the second floor in room 202.
Childrens Programming K-7th Grade
The children in this program have three nine-week curriculum terms and one four-week holiday term each year. They learn about Unitarian Universalism in one term, world religions in another and do Bible literacy in the final term. They have a four-week holiday term that is a new and different arts program each year. Each term there are social service activities woven into the program and the children occassionally have a social evening at church to just have fun with their community. The children’s program is growing and we welcome new visitors each week. We ask that parents register their children after three visits.
Sunday School programs begin at 10:30 when children and youth attend service for 15 minutes and then go off to classes. Class ends at 11:45. Children in grades Kindergarten through Second Grade need to be picked up from their classes by a parent or sponsor.

UU Principles for Children
We believe:
- That each and every person is important;
- That all people should be treated fairly and with kindness;
- That we should accept one another and keep on learning together;
- That each person must be free to search for what is true and right in life;
- That all persons should have a voice in the things that Concern them;
- In working for a peaceful, fair, and free world;
- In caring for our planet earth, the home we share with all living things.
